We've received two separate tips today concerning the appearance of 2016 Civic info in Honda's I.N. locator system and bulletins. Apparently the bulletins reference the 1.5T and 2.0 engines in the sedan, and there is also a mention of the coming hatchback version. Through Honda's I.N. locator system we can see how the mix will be in the sedan models, which makes sense since the sedans will be available first, followed by the coupes, then the Si, and finally the 5-door hatch.
Basically it appears that the 2.0/6MT sedan combo will be offered exclusively in LX trim level. The 2.0 engine will be offered with the CVT in LX and EX versions of the sedan, with both CVT trims offering Honda Sensing as an option.
And according to our information, the 1.5T/6MT Civic sedan combo will be offered exclusively in EX trim level . If you opt for the CVT with the 1.5T Civic sedan, your trim selections expand to EX, EX-L, EX-L Nav, and Touring. EX and EX-L CVT trim levels offer Honda Sensing, and we're guessing Honda Sensing is standard in the Touring trim.
Some new colors that will be offered include: Cosmic Blue Metallic, Aegean Blue Metallic, Burgundy Night Pearl, and Lunar Silver Metallic. Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, White Orcid Pearl, and Rallye red will be offered as well. Interior colors are listed as Gray, Black, and Ivory.
In an attempt to keep it all straight, here's a quick matrix that we threw together.
