Cresson, TX 05/13/00

After learning that the North Texas S2000 Owner's Club would have a track day at the Texas Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Texas, I couldn't resist asking the club if I could join them to cover their event and to get some track time too. The club agreed so I paid my $95 for the track time and I was off on a 3 hour drive to the Dallas/Forth Worth area from Austin, TX. This would be a good opportunity to see how well organized and enthusiastic this club was. You can learn the history of the club by going to the club's website.

The track fees included a catered lunch of some sandwiches, drinks, and chips. Immediately following lunch was a classroom session with the owner of the Motorsport Ranch, Jack Farr. Jack described to the class the nuances of the race track which he designed and is able to mix it up with quite a bit of humor. Everyone was very attentive
