Intro

As you may have read in my page_number=1">Preview Test of the RSX Type-S 2003 Factory Performance Package, my initial impressions were mostly positive. At the time, I was only able to sample the car briefly, so definitive conclusions were impossible.

This time around, Acura loaned us an FP RSX for a full week, and I was able to establish a more solid basis for evaluation. For people who like to cut to the chase, I'll tell you right now that my opinion of last summer remains largely unchanged. The handling improvements are significant, the car looks great, and the braking is phenomenal too. At great risk of sounding cliche, the FP package truly transforms the RSX into a surgical instrument for carving your favorite roads. Is the package worth the price of entry? Are there any drawbacks? Read on and find out.
