On Vettel v. Hamilton at Turn 4, I agree about Vettel losing the corner to Hamilton when he went too aggressive with deciding to move inside Kimi. Kimi would have needed a clue that Vettel would do that otherwise the racing line was his. Hamilton very rarely makes mistakes while Vettel seems to over cook corners pretty frequently.

I think the Ricciardo dive-bomb cornering technique is interesting in that he turns a corner into two separate apexes and it's Bottas who figured out how to defend against it. Simply brake a fraction early and take the center of the track away from Ricciardo. The entry into the corner where he hit Gasly wasn't wide enough to get an angle into it for his second apex. It's sort of like defending against The Rosberg Move. Get as far inside on the corner entry as you can and force Ricciardo to make the mistake.

Ricciardo needs a good race soon. He'll have one.

I think the big story from Monza was that Ferrari may have the advantage on power but Mercedes is still running a better chassis. It's cool for Mercedes that Bottas is playing the Barrichello role for them but Ferrari were lucky to hold onto the podium for Kimi.

I'm surprised Kimi has chosen to move back to Sauber. Wouldn't have thought fighting for a mid pack position would have much appeal for an ex champion. Wouldn't be for the money I would've thought.

He likes the sport, media things aside. I get the impression if he was in the one place too long he'd go nuts!! So traveling around the globe must suit him. If he had won in Monza, I'd say he'd have been kept for another year.

It's close to home. With the resources Ferrari are putting into the team, there's a chance they'll be fighting for 4th next season.

If Vettel eats a blue flag and get ill from it.... perhaps Raiko will replace him then?

Both drivers were wrong, Kimi is special and all, but really, Ferrari should have won both championships last year and again this year. Total mess made by Vettel + team silly strategy, on purpose Italian style, made Kimi loose at least 5 races in the last 3 years.

Vettel is the one who should have left, but Kimi was selling the merchandising and caps and so on. Quite a mess this Vettel, it makes Hamilton even stronger, both in stature and legendary wins, it will be the second year Ham wins with an inferior car....

Forza Arbeit Vettelatuur! "blue flag!!!!!"
