So the 2019 RDX's SH-AWD has "30 percent faster response and a 40 percent increase in maximum torque capacity" but doesn't seem to be benefiting much from it when it comes to putting the power down, as evidenced by the slower than expected acceleration times.

The latest Motor Trend test shows 0-60mph in 6.4s and 1/4 mile in 14.8@95mph. It's quite a bit better than the earlier motor trend test where it did 7.1 and 15.5@91mph .

The trap speed is now the same as the Q5 2.0T, which we know is also underrated.

It seems like after putting some mileage on the car, the performance has been improved. I certainly feel the same way on my rdx.

As such, I'm not 100% sure if it's the SH-AWD system that is causing the performance issue. I don't see that kind of issue with the TLX or MDX at all.

Yeah we just covered this in the RDX Flashpro thread. The dyno plot doesn't look at healthy as it should given the increased system capacity, and it follows that acceleration isn't quite what was expected. I still think the new RDX is a big step forward for Acura.
