Honda is working on one built off the next Fit/Vezal/HR-V platform. Going after the older,no kids market in Japan(sportier looking SUV)

Sold as an Acura in NA Market?

Would this be a new, smaller ZDX? It's about time we have a sporty coupe SUV

Acura BDX ( BrainDeadX )

Because it takes a marketing guy with NO BRAINS to figure out that just what Acura needs is a mini SUV with three doors.

What next? Dropping the Legend name? Merging the TL and TSX? The Power Plenum....

... oh wait...

How about keeping that abomination in Japan and introducing sliding forward front doors in the minivans? And sliding doors in ALL SUVS... rear doors go back, front doors slide forward.

That, IMHO would be awesome. Imagine how well we'd be able to get in and out of our vehicles if the doors didn't have to swing out!

Looks aside (love it or hate it), the Crosstour was a great vehicle. My wife loved hers. I have to admit, in the winter, it was truly fantastic. We threw on a set of Blizzaks and it just hooked up and went, no matter what. Northern Alberta is known for lots of ice and extremely cold temps in the winter and the Crosstour handled it all with aplomb.

The only thing we didn't like was that the rear hatch didn't hold that much cargo due to the crazy angle of the rear glass. You couldn't really put a lot in the last foot or two of the rear cargo area because it would hit the glass/hatch.

It was based upon the Honda Logo, a forerunner of the Fit.

Honda were too far ahead of the curve back then...

I think there is a broad swath of the US that such a design would appeal to, actually.

Mazda is preparing the CX-3(?) replacement. Acura had better get their new design language out there before it looks as if they're aping the "lesser" Mazdas...

We drove a V6 for a couple of months during the after effects of the Japanese quake.

The car felt very good, quiet, reasonably fast but yeah, the interior was not very efficient. The fenders sort of stuck out three inches in every direction below the greenhouse. So it was hard to know where the end of the car was. Specially when parking -it did not have a back up camera.
