Honda CEO Takanobu Ito dropped several hints last year around the time of the Tokyo Motor Show that Honda was interested in building something to challenge Nissan's small Qashqai CUV (known as Dualis in Japan and Australia) which has been selling well in Europe. Just over a year later, Honda will be showing its global Fit-based CUV concept at the 2013 North American International Auto Show. This new CUV will be sold in the USA, as will a new Fit-based sedan.
Following is the press release as well as Honda's concept art.
