While Honda already staged a "global dynamic debut" of the production e at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, they are using the Frankfurt International Motor Show to release more details about the production version, including pricing and delivery timing.
Here are the bullet items from the official press release
- Honda e will start from €29,470 in Germany (including government subsidy)
- Mass production version unveiled today at Frankfurt Motor Show
- Honda e has gathered over 40,000 expressions of interest since the unveil of the prototype version earlier in 2019
- First deliveries of Honda e set for summer 2020
The listed pricing is for the 100kW (134hp) base model. There is an "Advance" grade which adds more feature content and a slightly higher output 113kW (152hp) motor, and that version starts at €32,470. Torque is listed at 315Nm (232lb-ft). Battery capacity is set at 35.5kWh, providing a listed range of up to 220km. The Honda e can be fast charged (50kW DC) to 80% capacity in 30 minutes.
Honda will start taking orders for the Honda e in select markets starting this month. Customers in UK, Germany, France, and Norway will be the first to receive deliveries in the summer of 2020. The Honda e is currently not expected to be sold in the US.
