Several years ago, Hondata successfully launched an upgraded direct injection system for FK8 Type Rs - a system which we have tested since its introduction, in fact. So the next logical vehicle in line for this upgrade was the 10th Generation Civic Si. For now it is limited to the 10th Gen Civic Si, but it will soon support other 1.5T models as well.

This is a ground-up development to suit the nature of the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine in the Si. It's important to note that the bottom end of the 1.5L engine isn't as sturdy as the Type R's 2.0L K20C1, so unless you've heavily fortified the bottom end of your Si's L15B7, this product should not be on your radar.

Having said that, like the FK8 Hondata Fuel System, the Civic Si fuel system includes upgraded injectors, an upgraded high pressure fuel line (this is a bespoke part, and not a drilled out stock part), and the BIG news this time around is that the kit also includes a new camshaft which has exactly the same valve lobe profile as the stock Si camshaft except the fuel pump lobe on the Hondata cam is bigger, providing a big improvement in fuel system capacity. Hopefully Hondata will look into a similar upgrade for the FK8 Fuel System as we have been flirting with the limits of that system on our FK8 with upgraded turbo (dyno tested at 536whp so far on E40) and flex fuel system.

Hondata's test subject Si vehicles have dyno tested at nearly 420hp and 420lb-ft on E85, and over 520hp and 433lb-ft on C16.

We don't know much about the specs of the components but so far we have learned that the injectors are Denso 1132cc units, replacing the stock Keihin 837cc units (a 35% increase in capacity)
