It was a great weekend for Honda's motorsports efforts. The weekend started with Acura's TSX finishing 2nd on its very first race in the Speed World Challenge racing series. RealTime Racing's Pierre Kleinubing performed brilliantly. Then, in the wee hours of Sunday morning (US time), BAR Honda netted their first podium of the 2004 Formula One season at Malaysia's Sepang Circuit, with Jenson Button finishing 3rd behind Michael Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya. Late Sunday afternoon, Honda's awesome weekend closed with 2 spots on the podium in the IRL's Copper World Indy 200. Andretti Green Racing's Tony Kanaan and Dan Wheldon took first and third, respectively.
Overall, it was an excellent showing for Honda. The TOV congratulates Honda, the drivers, and the teams for their superb efforts.
