Autoweek: No four-door "ultimate Accords"

Next week's Autoweek reports in a small blurb that there are "no plans to offer" a manual transmission with the 3.0L V6 in the sedan body. It's not clear if they're simply restating what is already known (no 6MTs for MY'03), or if they're saying there won't be a 6MT V6 Accord sedan anywhere down the road. I suspect it's the latter, and it's discouraging news for Honda fans. This decision is probably based more on sibling rivalry than anything else, particularly in regards to Acura's upcoming yet-to-be-announced TSX and the '04 TL. All the preliminary information we have on the TSX indicates that there will be no V6 offered, and the notion of a 6MT TL Type S seems a little optimistic (we're keeping our fingers crossed!)
