A recent posting on the National Highway Safety Administration website lists the 2003 Honda Accord coupe as attaining a five star rating for front and side collision testing. A five star rating is the best a vehicle can achieve under the current test program. The 2003 Honda Accord coupe is rated at five stars for the driver and passenger in front collision testing, and five stars for front and rear seat occupants in side collision testing.

With Honda's intense focus on safety in design, these results come as little surprise. As of late, all new models from Honda are designed to earn the highest ratings in these types of crash tests. Of much greater importantance, they're designed to offer maximum protection to occupants in real world crash situations. jp
